Peer Review 9/02/17

One of the most helpful and enjoyable tasks we did this week was a peer review. Our whole print group joined together and split into smaller groups to have a look at and evaluate each other's work so far. This was an extremely valuable exercise, as it allowed us to focus on giving each other constructive feedback, highlighting what was going well for each person and what could be improved. One of the benefits of splitting into smaller groups to do the reviews was that we could really offer in-depth comments to the people whose work we were analysing and observe how they had got from their original research to their outcomes from the print room.

Seeing everyone's work out on the tables showed just how diverse each person's approach to the initial starting point has been. It's also really inspiring to realise how hard-working and creative everyone is. It certainly inspired me to keep developing and evolving my work and to take more risks. I found the peer review thoroughly beneficial and really hope to have the opportunity to do more in future projects as it is a great way to feed off one another and generate ideas.
